Professional House Washing
House washing for North Jersey siding, stucco and brick
Green algae, grey oxidation and mildew under the soffits come off with the gentle Soft-Wash method. The shrubs get covered first, and Tom is on every job.
What actually goes wrong with siding
Over time a house collects dirt, grime and organic growth, and in North Jersey the shaded sides take the worst of it. Green algae streaks low on the wall where the sun never dries it. Older vinyl turns chalky and grey as it oxidizes. Mildew settles in under the soffits, where nobody looks until it is already spreading.
It is not only cosmetic, either. Growth that stays on a wall holds moisture against it, and that is how a dirty house turns into a damaged one. Peter L. wrote on the Modern Powerwash reviews page: “I have fiber cement Hardie Board siding and had mildew growing on some areas. They got everything off.” That is the job, and it covers vinyl, aluminum, Hardie board, stucco and brick alike.

How the crew washes a house
Most siding does not need a hard blast. Modern Powerwash is skilled at both high-pressure power washing and the gentler Soft-Wash method, so the pressure follows the surface: low pressure and plenty of water on vinyl and stucco, more muscle on concrete and brick. Tom is on the job the whole time, and customers say the team explains the tools and techniques as the crew works.
Plants come first. Jamie W. noted that the crew takes the time to be sure fragile plants and shrubs are covered before they start, and Teresa M. said the solution has no negative impact on her garden plants. To get the house ready, we ask for four things: no vehicles in the driveway, all windows closed, outdoor water spouts working, and any decorations that could be damaged taken down.

Keeping it clean once it is clean
A washed house does not stay washed forever, and how long it lasts depends on the shade, the trees and the siding. The people who get the best results treat it as routine maintenance. Linda B. says Tom and his crew have washed her house and deck regularly for the past 15 years, and she is always 100 percent satisfied.
Plenty of customers come back. Bob C. called his visit the third time he has used Modern Powerwash, and Jamie W. already scheduled a full house and property wash for the following year. That is the whole aftercare plan: wash it when it needs it, the same people, the same care.

Look at the bottom edge
That green line is algae, not paint.
It sits along the lowest course of siding, where the wall stays damp the longest. Drag the line across and the stucco below it stays exactly as it was. Only the growth leaves.
